“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities
have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely with

too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.” –Ralph Waldo Emerson

Yesterday is over...the mistakes, the heartache, the struggles -over. You can choose to make a new start today. You can choose to forgive, to begin again, and to shed what no longer works and you can lay the foundation for an even better tomorrow. The biggest mistake you can make is to carry with you the weight of the past. You cannot change history, but you can change the future.

The definition of lunacy is to repeat the same behavior over and over again, expecting a different result.

Don't be a lunatic, be a pioneer. There’s work to be done. Some of it's not much fun. Shedding the things that don’t work in our lives is never an easy process, but is essential to get to the next stage. Transformation starts on the inside. What you see on the outside is not important right now. What’s in your heart is.

Most people never get past this stage. They know they have issues, but they choose to ignore them or they spend so much of their lives blaming others they never get around to dealing with what’s holding them back, so they end up staying right where they are.  Don't run from your past, confront it.  Whatever you are facing loses all its power the minute you turn around and face it head on.

In my own case, I made so many mistakes I was sure I'd never be free of the guilt and shame.  Fear made me run the other way until one day there was nowhere else to run.  There's nothing more frightening or frustrating than coming face to face with the very worst in yourself – and there's no escape.  However, here's a little secret I learned along the way.

If we could save ourselves, what did we need a savior for?

The answer is:  We can't.  Thank God.
